Today we are adding a new format to our blog with our first VC On Stage audio podcast. We recently interviewed Susan Egan, who is starring as Belle in 5-Star Theatricals’ upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast, and the show’s director, Yvette Lawrence, who replaced Egan when the show came to Los Angeles in 1995. Egan created the role on Broadway in 1994 and last played Belle 22 years ago, so this production promises to be indeed quite memorable for all involved: cast and audiences alike. Both Egan and Lawrence were absolutely delightful and we thought you’d enjoy hearing their voices as they talked about this momentous occasion rather than just reading their words.
