With music, lyrics, and a book by Richard O’Brien, “The Rocky Horror Show” is a humorous tribute to the science fiction and horror movies of the late 1940s through the early 1970s.  Through dance, lyric, and text, the story tells of the newly engaged Brad and Janet, who find themselves swept up in a storm that leads them to a mysterious castle: the home of the mad transvestite scientist Dr. Frank N Furter, his servants, and his newest creation, a muscle man named Rocky Horror.  Often noted as “Young Frankenstein” gone wrong, “The Rocky Horror Show” chronicles Brad and Janet’s journey back to normal society, unless they get sucked into the Transylvanian world first.  But, of course, who said they every really wanted to leave in the first place? This musical is recommended for mature audiences, and may not be appropriate for those under 17.
