Oscar Madison and Felix Unger are the very best of friends, although they are total opposites – one a loud, slovenly sensualist who skips his child support payments and the other a reserved, fastidious neatnik with a likely case of OCD. They are both good men with good hearts who love their children, and that appears to be all they have in common besides each other, until Felix’s wife throws him out. Left with nowhere to turn, Felix moves into Oscar’s apartment, much to the chagrin of their poker buddies. It’s not long before the differences between them are exposed further – and it goes much deeper than neat vs. messy. And thus a legendary conflict is born, and a landmark American comedy begins to play out. What happens when two such different men share a small space? Who will win out, the dustbuster or the human tornado? And in the end, if you can’t have love, is friendship enough?
