Performed as a recreation of a live 1940’s radio broadcast, It’s a Wonderful Life: The Radio Play harkens back to the Golden Age of Radio and brings to life the beloved holiday classic featuring George Bailey, Clarence the Angel and the entire town of Bedford Falls. Join our studio audience as we take you back to a 1940’s radio broadcast of It’s A Wonderful Life with live sound effects, an original score by Jonathan Green and a stellar cast that will bring the entire town of Bedford Falls to life. In this “live” radio broadcast anything and everything could – and does – go awry, filling our nostalgic journey with comedy, holiday music, and the classic story we have all come to love. Gather family and friends and tune in “live on stage” to experience Frank Capra’s holiday classic like you never have before.
Featured in the cast are Scott Blanchard, Isaac Deakyne, Elixeo Flores, Doug Friedlander, Andrew Garrett, Erin Hollander, Lois Lorback, Sindy McKay, Leslie Nichols, Ronald Rezac, and Peggy Steketee. Directing IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: THE RADIO PLAY is Fred Helsel, with Leslie Nichols producing. Scenic design is by Mike Carnahan, lighting design by Gary Richardson and sound design will be by Kevin Kahm. Barbara Pedziwiatr will design the costumes. Rounding out the artistic team are Gail Heck as Properties Master and Karl Krause as Stage Manager.
