What happens when the theatre, choral music and instrumental music departments collaborate on a production of Guys
and Dolls? A winning bet! Students and staff have been spending long hours in rehearsal preparing for the mid
November show, and odds are, it’s going to be fabulous!
The show is directed by Mrs. DeDe Burke; in collaboration with orchestra director, Liz Blake, vocal director, Alan Rose and
choreographer, Kim Morgan Greene. These dedicated educators are working with a cast of approximately 50 students
and a crew of 35.
There are two important firsts for this Westlake High production. The show will run for six performances instead of four
and offer online ticket sales, with the goal of bringing in the community.
“This is such a talented and dedicated group of students. We really want the community to have the opportunity to come
out and be entertained. This is not your average high school production,” said director DeDe Burke.
