You are invited to a master class taught by legendary opera diva Maria Callas; she is glamorous, commanding, larger than life – and drop-dead funny! Alternately dismayed and impressed by the students who parade before her, she recalls the glories of her own life and career, including her younger years as an ugly duckling, her fierce hatred of her rivals, the unforgiving press that savaged her early performances, her triumphs at La Scala, her affair with Aristotle Onassis, and the sacrifice we must make in the name of art. Winner of the 1996 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding New Play and the 1996 Tony Award for Best Play, MASTER CLASS is “Terrence McNally’s total triumph…This is a night to remember.” (NY Post) ~ RATED PG-13

Hi Cary, Great website! Now, I can finally find all our local theater shows at a glance. “Spelling Bee” opened at Moorpark last night. I didn’t see it on your calender. I will probably be going tomorrow night and next weekend!! I’m sure you can get an interview from Ryan, before he becomes to famous! He will be attending UC Irvine this fall.
Hope to see you their!
Sandy
Hi Sandy!
Yes, thanks for the info. I would love to talk to Ryan about the show and feature him on the site. We also want to keep in touch with all of our VC alums to find out what they’re up to out in the “real world” of “the Thee-Uh-Tuh.”
A key or hotlink to the symbols on the calendar would be helpful
The initials refer to the name of the theater company, which is identified if you click on the show title. There are no other symbols – thanks for your comment!
Where is spelling bee being performed ? I saw a wonderful play called push pull last summer
There are currently no productions of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” scheduled, but stay tuned to this page because one will certainly pop up before long.
