Based on the Gospel According to St. Matthew, and featuring a sparkling score by Stephen Schwartz,GODSPELL boasts a string of well-loved songs, led by the international hit, “Day By Day.” As the cast performs “Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord,” “Learn Your Lessons Well,” “All For The Best,” “All Good Gifts,” “Turn Back, O Man” and “By My Side,” the parables of Jesus Christ come humanly and hearteningly to life.
Drawing from various theatrical traditions, such as clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville, GODSPELL is a groundbreaking and unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love.

Hi Cary, Great website! Now, I can finally find all our local theater shows at a glance. “Spelling Bee” opened at Moorpark last night. I didn’t see it on your calender. I will probably be going tomorrow night and next weekend!! I’m sure you can get an interview from Ryan, before he becomes to famous! He will be attending UC Irvine this fall.
Hope to see you their!
Sandy
Hi Sandy!
Yes, thanks for the info. I would love to talk to Ryan about the show and feature him on the site. We also want to keep in touch with all of our VC alums to find out what they’re up to out in the “real world” of “the Thee-Uh-Tuh.”
A key or hotlink to the symbols on the calendar would be helpful
The initials refer to the name of the theater company, which is identified if you click on the show title. There are no other symbols – thanks for your comment!
Where is spelling bee being performed ? I saw a wonderful play called push pull last summer
There are currently no productions of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” scheduled, but stay tuned to this page because one will certainly pop up before long.
