The past catches up with a country gentleman at his wedding to orphan, Rose Maybud, when his brother, Sir Despard Murgatroyd, discovers brother Ruthven is not dead, but living in disguise as Robin Oakapple, to avoid the family curse. The famous baritone solo “When the Night Wind Howls” brings out the ghosties, but will Robin/Sir Ruthven give in to the curse and become the latest Bad Baronette of Ruddigore or will he be able to continue a life of country gentility with his lovely Rosebud? And does any of this really “matter, matter, matter?” Bad baronettes, ghosts, kidnapping, lies and madness run riot in Ventura County Gilbert & Sullivan Repertoire Company’s production of the Gilbert & Sullivan’s operetta, Ruddigore.

Hi Cary, Great website! Now, I can finally find all our local theater shows at a glance. “Spelling Bee” opened at Moorpark last night. I didn’t see it on your calender. I will probably be going tomorrow night and next weekend!! I’m sure you can get an interview from Ryan, before he becomes to famous! He will be attending UC Irvine this fall.
Hope to see you their!
Sandy
Hi Sandy!
Yes, thanks for the info. I would love to talk to Ryan about the show and feature him on the site. We also want to keep in touch with all of our VC alums to find out what they’re up to out in the “real world” of “the Thee-Uh-Tuh.”
A key or hotlink to the symbols on the calendar would be helpful
The initials refer to the name of the theater company, which is identified if you click on the show title. There are no other symbols – thanks for your comment!
Where is spelling bee being performed ? I saw a wonderful play called push pull last summer
There are currently no productions of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” scheduled, but stay tuned to this page because one will certainly pop up before long.
