Chasing Summer is a young girl’s coming of age story set in the late 1950’s West Coast Surf Culture.  In keeping with traditional beach stories from that era there is plenty of high jinx and teenage romance.  Chasing Summer follows young Samantha Anne Gaynor as she maneuvers the complex path of adolescence to young adulthood.  Life is pretty simple for Samantha until she has a run in with a young handsome surfer called Casanova. Samantha has the help of her family and friends as she strives to make the right decisions.  Because that’s how happy endings are made.
SUITABLE FOR YOUNGER AUDIENCES

CHASING SUMMER features a cast of thirteen with Olivia Heulitt as Samantha/Stacy, Helene Benjamin as Grandma Sam, Alex Cowans as Einstein, Justin Johnson as Casanova, Jennifer Skutley as Sally, Bernie Martinez as Wipe Out, Logan Sylvester as Axel, Penny Krevenas as the Mother, Roger Krevenas as the Father, Paulina Logan as Patsy, Anthony Baldonado as Gomez, Andrew Nunez as ExLax, Luke Sylvester as Don Carlos.   Kimberly Peters and Elixeo Flores direct the piece with Andrea Robles lighting design  and Leslie Nichols producing. Costume design by Barbara Pedziwiatr.
