ABOUT THE PUBLISHER

Cary Ginell started writing about theater arts in Ventura County in 1996. Since 2007 hundreds of his reviews of musicals, plays, profiles and concerts have been published in The Acorn newspapers and the Ventura County Star. Cary is the author of nine books and is also the editor of Broadway Musicals: Show By Show,”published by Applause Books. He has performed on the other side of the footlights as well, playing flute and piccolo for local productions of Annie, The Sound of Music, The Music Man, and Les Miserables. In addition, he leads his own 11-piece group, the Sedalia Ragtime Orchestra, which has been a regular presence in Ventura County since 2005.
